SCALP & ROOT TONIC

Try: Dr Hauschka Revitalizing Hair & Scalp Tonic

Great hair begins with a balanced scalp and clean, healthy roots. This botanically blended tonic uses arnica and birch bark extract to balance oily or dry scalps, rosemary, borage and horse chestnut to encourage healthy hair follicles, and neem leaf to reinforce keratin and reduce breakage.

VOLUMISER

Try: Sebastian Thickefy Foam

Fine hair? You'll need to give strands a boost before adding texture, so mist this on damp or towel-dried hair before you blow-dry (don't skip the blow-dry - you need the heat to activate the product).

SEA SALT SPRAY

Try: Sebastian Texturizer

Think texture, think sea salt spray. You might also think, "dry and crunchy texture", but the latest formulas leave hair touchable and have UV protection, too. Mist into damp hair, scrunch and allow to air dry, or spray into dry hair and blast with a blow dryer for even more texture.

BLOW-DRY BRUSH

Try: Rock & Ruddle Large Radial Brush in Hearts

If you've gone overboard with the texture, or you're after a slightly more polished effect, smooth out the roots and ends using a blow-dryer and this brush.

HAIRSPRAY

Try: Sebastian Shaper Zero Gravity

Once you're happy with your waves, you'll need to set everything to ensure all-day wear. Look for a flexible hairspray, to maintain a touchable quality to prevent strands from appearing too stiff or lacquered.
