Looking for somewhere new to eat? Shona, our Marketing Intern recommends Howick Village Cafe as one of her favourites!
I’ve grown up in Howick but have never explored the cafes in Howick Village outside of Apothecary and Basalt. A birthday brunch took me to Howick Village Café and now I’m kicking myself I’ve never been there before. The food was AMAZING, presentation, taste, smell, everything. The service was attentive, always checking on us in case we needed something.
Due to a few members in the group having dietary requirements, ordering was always going to be tricky, thankfully the staff were completely on to it and the meals were delivered perfectly with no hiccups.
They have a nice outdoor area which is perfect for a warm/sunny day and a spacious inside area too. They cater from breakfast right through to dinner. Their menu has a lot of choice with the option to add more. The cabinet food by the counter provides some cheaper options and a vast array of yummy looking sweet treats. The café was busy which meant food wasn’t delivered straight away, however it all came out at the same time and was worth the slight delay!
I would rate Howick Village Café a 3 value out of 5 in terms of value/price. I had the house made granola bowl with vanilla poached fruits, chia seed, goji berry, coconut flakes, nz honey, organic yoghurt and coconut milk for $14 – so worth it! And for reference their eggs benny is $16.
What would you suggest wearing to Howick Village Café?
Just casual clothes! Think jeans, blouse, sandals and sunnies.
