Are you heading away for a holiday? Wondering what you need to take when you travel?
As I sit at the airport with my family, waiting for our flight to board, I start to go through my check list to make sure I have packed my travel essentials and the things I simply can’t travel without.
1.5 litre bottle of water
I drink a lot of water on every fight and make sure I stay hydrated. I would drink at least two large bottles on a fight 10 hours or more. I add electrolytes to my water too!
Passport, Credit Cards and Cash
Basically, with these three items, you can go anywhere and anytime.
Scarf, Layers, Comfortable Clothes
I cannot stand being cold on a plane, especially on a long journey. The air conditioning can be brutal so I have my layers and scarf to adjust my own body temperature accordingly.
Mobile phone, iPad and Diary
I write everything down in my diary so I cannot travel without it – all my important information is in it. I have to have my iPhone and iPad to make sure I can communicate with my family and friends no matter where I am.
Eye mask and ear plugs
I’m a light sleeper however, I am able to sleep on planes fortunately. I’ve had to learn quickly and after 25 odd years of traveling for my business and pleasure, my secret weapon is a good, dark, cotton eye mask and ear plugs. I cannot travel without them. They block the aircraft world out around me.
I’d love to hear your thought and comments on what your travel essentials are! What makes you travel life easier and better for you? Do you have any advice to share?
