The crew and I recently wrapped up the Sara/Modern Curve spring/summer shoot in Sydney amidst insane wet weather and winds that plagued the area for over a week. We were lucky indeed to get the job done. What professionals!
The shoot was a mix of studio and location days as can be seen below. We had one stellar day at Balmoral Beach for all our beach shots and we were all reminded just how beautiful this wonderful city is.
Annette McKenzie (hair & make-up artist) touching up my hair before we start shooting, and Deb Bowen (stylist) on the sidelines making sure the clothes look their best.
A 5.30 am start at Balmoral Beach, Sydney. It was dark until 7 am.
Keeping warm with a hot water bottle in hand. Gunter (photo assistant) holds up the scrim to diffuse the harsh sun light.
The Sara/Modern Curve crew bundled up whilst working hard.
In our tent with change room and all, Andrea (producer), Deb (stylist) and Helen (assistant stylist) are busy discussing the next spread.
Abby and I keeping warm together imaging we are on a hot beach somewhere north.
Our cold, fresh day turns out spectacular with sunshine and hardly any rain.
Balmoral is a beautiful spot in Sydney. It is alive with activity and what phenomenal views!
What hints can I share with you regarding the collection I hear you ask? Well, I really liked the indigo and white denim shorts I wore — they were a great fit. Some of the tees were a warm weather hit also.
I really liked the slim leg jean and there were some more cute stripes to add to my already extensive collection — I love stripes and spots!
Cobolt blue had a big presence in the collection as did luscious lime. Stay tuned for more warmer weather favourites.
Until then, stay warm and healthy.
