Autumn is by far my favourite season – it’s warm during the day, and crisp in the evenings and early mornings. It’s all the good parts of summer (the warmth and the long days) with lower humidity and less scorching temperatures. And of course there is the autumn fashion…
The Biker Jacket:
When the mornings turn brisk, a biker jacket is the perfect way to look chic while keeping away the chill. A good leather biker jacket is well worth investing the extra pennies in, as they will not only last a long time but they’re also a classic wardrobe staple, having been a popular symbol of style for more than 60 years.
The Perfect Pair of Jeans:
I’m a self-confessed fan of The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants, but I know that one size and style most definitely does not fit all when it comes to jeans. Whether you like skinnies, high waisted, bootleg or boyfriend jeans (or my personal favourite, jeggings), find your perfect style this autumn and rock it!
The Wet Weather Jacket
Regardless of the season, rain is an inevitability. A rain shower doesn’t need to take the shine off a great day if you have some wet weather gear – this spray jacket is perfect for those days when there is a light drizzle and this anorak is great for when the weather is damp and cool.
The Cosy Sweater:
Layering is key in autumn, and as we transition from warm weather to cooler you’re going to want to have some cosy sweaters on hand. I like cardigans as they give you the option of wearing them open or closed, but when it starts to get really chilly at the end of autumn, I’m all about the cosy sweater.
The Autumn Frock:
Just because the weather is getting cooler doesn’t mean that you can’t still wear dresses. Go for warmer fabrics and cuts, and if it’s an especially cold day then add a pair of stockings. I love this layer dress because it gives the illusion of being a crop top and skirt (great if you love the cropped look but aren’t willing to bare your belly), and we all know how I love crop tops!
