Mid week and wondering what to do this weekend? We’ve pulled together a list of free events happening in Australia and New Zealand.
The weekend is nearly upon us and some of you might not have any plans just yet… Well don’t stress out – we can help! We’ve done the research and have picked out free events in Auckland, Christchurch, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Wellington. Are we missing a city? Let us know if you’d like your city featured next time.
Live on the Lawn: The team at Sylvia Park Shopping Centre are putting on a fun-filled weekend – music, DJ’s and shopping! Also why not visit us at the same time, we are located here.
Leighs Construction Outdoor Cinema: this Friday you can watch Toy Story in the quad of the Arts Centre at 5.30pm and then at 8pm they have a showing of Boy that you can watch. Did someone say picnic dinner?
A Vinyl Affair – Wellington’s Record Fair: Love music? San Fran in Wellington will be hosting this twice yearly record fair. Get back into your vinyls (you might have some in your closet that are quite worthy!) – plus there’ll be spot prizes and food/drink specials.
We couldn’t decide what you’d like best so we’d included both the Courtyard Sessions (live music under the trees) and a school fair (stalls, books, home-made food, lucky dips!).
A no-brainer really, a Donut Festival! It’s not free, but only a gold-coin donation going towards Eat Up. Now that’s one way to enjoy your long weekend!
Michael Jackson, Starship, Bryan Adams, Wham, Aha, Huey Lewis, Queen, Van Halen and Bon Jovi. The best of the 70s and 80s are up against each other on Saturday at Caboolture Sports Club. Dress up and get ready to party!
A WORLD RECORD! Yes, you can be apart of one if you are aged over 60. You just need to complete a light 30 mins exercise routine. How cool would that be?!
OUR WEEKEND OUTFIT
So now that we’ve got our plans… what should we wear? We want to be comfortable and look good. These jeans are perfect as they are made from a breathable fabric and the bootcut flatters.
Do you have any recommendations on what to do this weekend? We’d love to know about it. Let us know in the comments below if there’s something exciting happening in your town.
