Romantic breakfast in bed
Does your significant other have a sweet tooth? Then they’ll love Nutella Stuffed Strawberry French Toast. This meal is super simple to make, quick, and looks really impressive on the plate.
Prefer a savory option? Try these Baked Eggs with Goat Cheese and Prosciutto. We love the wholesome ingredients in this one – cherry tomatoes, spinach, basil, eggs… it’s actually surprisingly healthy! We found this recipe on Shoot to Cook, the mouthwatering food blog by St. Louis photographer and gastronome Jonathan Gayman.
To wash it all down, take a break from coffee or regular tea and try making some refreshing rose tea instead. It’s easy, healthy and will make your Valentine’s Day breakfast just that extra bit special.
Valentine’s Day dinner
Beef, chicken or fish? We have a Valentine’s Day recipe for each option.
Meat lovers will enjoy this Elegant Beef Blue recipe – beef tenderloin steaks slathered in wine and herbs, and topped with asparagus. Serve with heart-shaped potatoes for a romantic twist.
If you prefer white meat, try this Rosemary Roasted Chicken with Grapes. The roasted grapes add a delicious twist on traditional roast chicken – a great way to make your dinner memorable.
Fish lovers will enjoy this amazing Pan-Seared Lemon Sole recipe. It would be perfect served with couscous and lightly steamed green beans… plus a glass of wine wine for good measure!
Romantic drinks
Nothing beats a glass of fine wine to go along with Valentine’s Day dinner. If you’re in the mood to play mixologist, why not try one of these romantic drinks?
This Chocolate Indulgence Martini recipe combines chocolate wafer cookies, chocolate syrup, chocolate milk (a lot of chocolate basically!), vanilla vodka and creme de coco… yum!
If you’re in the mood for something non-alcoholic, try making Strawberry Sweethearts Cocoa: hot cocoa meets strawberry milkshake. We reckon this is almost too beautiful to drink!
Desserts to share with your sweetheart
Valentine’s Day isn’t complete without eating something sweet and indulgent. If you’ve got a few hours spare and want to bake a cake, try your hand at the Raspberry, Almond and Cream Layer Cake – quite a lot of work but absolutely worth it. For an extra pretty effect, serve on this La Gateau cake pedestal from EziBuy.
Overall, our absolute favourite would have to be these adorable heart-shaped pies stuffed with sweet strawberries.
