What to Wear to a High Tea

Whether it’s a birthday, bridal shower, or just because – a High Tea is always a lovely way to celebrate a special event with girlfriends. And what a perfect occasion to frock up too!

Because a High Tea is held in the day, it’s not really a cocktail event (even if there is champagne!) so it requires a different type of dress code to a normal party or gathering.

Pretty dresses, fun florals and pastel colours are usually in order for a High Tea so let’s look at the traditional, and not-so-traditional options to wear to your next ‘do’.

Pretty Florals

Where else but to a High Tea would you wear a gorgeous floral frock? Add a nude heel, and a pastel handbag to complete the look, or go for something different and add a pop of COLOUR with your shoe choice – either way, you are going to look divine.

Bold Prints

You can still have fun with bold prints and bright colours, but maybe keep the shape and style of your frock more traditional – here are three great options from the EziBuy collection.

A High Tea is a fun, feminine way to spend your afternoon, so even if you’re not normally a girly-girl, an invitation to a High Tea gives you an excuse to bring out the inner “lady”. Have fun, eat cakes and sip tea with your pinky in the air (or if you are like my girlfriends and I, have a glass of bubbles or two as well!)

Until Next Time,

Cheers!
