So we’ve set our clocks forward, the days are getting longer and the temps are getting warmer. It’s time to reinvigorate your work wear wardrobe!
I know, I know, work wear sounds boring, but it’s not! Think about it. You spend so much of your time at work, and therefore in your work clothes, so you should really start to think about what you are wearing to work.
Lucky for you, Capture has just released a great new work wear collection just in time for spring and I’ve picked out some of my favourite pieces just for you!
No matter what your shape or size, this blouse is universally flattering. If you have curves, tuck it in to a high-waisted skirt or pants, if you have more of a straight up and down shape, you could wear it out.
Great for Pear shapes as it broadens the shoulder, and if you are a little larger in the bust, use a statement necklace or scarf to create a vertical line to minimise your top half.
There is a black pant out there for everyone, and they are such a staple of a corporate workplace so it can’t hurt to have at least one pair in your wardrobe.
Want something a little more fashion forward? Try the RELAXED PANT. Tuck in a feminine blouse (like the one above) to define your waist. The tapered shape is actually really flattering if you carry some weight on your thighs, as the relaxed fit allows for that, but then the pants taper at the ankle.
Want to add some balance to your leg? Try the BOOTCUT PANT – just make sure they are long enough to cover most of your shoe, it will elongate your leg, but if they are too short, they can cut you off.
The SLIM PANT will flatter a Column or Apple shape best – show off the fact that you have slender legs.
A dress for work is always a good option (if nothing else, it’s only one thing to put on in the morning, rather than worrying about mix and matching tops and bottoms!)
These three options are work-appropriate (on the knee and with a bit of a sleeve) but are still feminine and flattering. Add a bright necklace for a pop of colour, or a blazer for a slightly more corporate look.
So Capture definitely has you covered for work this season. Now you have the essential pieces to make up the basics of your work wardrobe, add your own spin and style with accessories.
Until next time,
