Your Backstage Pass to our Together Photoshoot

Last month we gave you a sneak-peak into how we design our prints, a very vital part of our unique collection. This month we would like to show you how the Together range is brought to life with a backstage pass to our most recent photoshoot.

Here at Together we are constantly developing our collections – as soon as we finish one step in the design process we are onto the next. We love the fast paced environment and the fact that no two days are the same!

Each season as the design process is being completed we present the collection to our advertising agency, headed by art director Jonathan Stansfield. They then work their magic to create the amazing layouts and photographs seen in your EziBuy catalogues and website.

During our advertising brief each outfit is looked at in detail and the perfect location/model/accessories are decided upon.

One of our favourite shoot locations is the beautiful resort of Maspalomas in Gran Canaria, where we headed to recently for our Autumn/Winter 2018 catalogue. The range is brought to life through stunning locations and amazing models. This is then coupled with unique styling to give you outfit inspiration for all occasions.

We have an amazing photoshoot team who have been working with us for many years and they are an important part of our Together family. They work very closely with our Managing Director, Jenny Brennan, and our very talented Design Team, headed by Kerrie Durkin-Wallen.

Our Art Director, Jonathan Stansfield, has vast experience and knowledge through working with various high-end womenswear brands and has a great understanding of our Together brand and of you, the Together woman.

We want you to wear your Together designs with ease and confidence and with our stylist Anita’s finishing touches we aim to show you various ways of styling your outfits, helping you to create your unique Together look.

For our Winter collection, our design assistant Louise jetted off with the photographic team to give us a behind-the-scenes look at what goes on for our photoshoots.

A typical photoshoot day starts super early with our models, hair and make-up reading to begin shooting at sunrise, to get the best possible lighting for the photographer. The shoot day continues until the sun goes down.

To capture the essence of the collection, locations vary between beach, town, and interiors to set the ‘mood’ for each particular spread being shot that day. Some days can prove pretty tricky as a lot of the locations are also filled with tourists, sometimes getting into or blocking the photographer’s view … luckily we have our team on hand to politely ask them to move just a little so they are out of shot but very welcome to watch from the sidelines! A funny thing that happened on our last shoot was a group of tourists rifling through a rail of our photographic range thinking it was a pop-up shop…

Shoots are hard work but also so much fun – from seeing the models dressed and tressed, the photographer and his team working their magic taking and editing the photographs to then seeing the final shots come to life on computer.
