Now I know that all the talk is on the Pantone Colour of the Year for 2015: Marsala, but I’m going to let you in on a little secret – it’s really just maroon haha. Meanwhile, there are a couple of other colours that are making the rounds at the moment that have caught my eye, and this gorgeous Powder Pink (or blush) is one of them.
So combined with this awesome colour, over the next couple of weeks, I’ll be sharing some of the gorgeous pieces that Grace Hill has in their collection – I have to admit, I’m loving the quality and cut of all the amazing silks from Grace Hill, this brand is definitely an asset to the EziBuy range!
Combining my love of powder pink, and the gorgeous Grace Hill collection will give you the following: One gorgeous silk top that will be right at home in anyone’s wardrobe!
Why it works: Powder Pink, or blush, is one of those colours that is not as stark as white (so won’t wash you out if white is not your colour) but it is also a cool tone, so if creams and ivorys make you look a little yellow (like they do to me) blush will keep that pink in your cheeks.
You can wear it with almost any other colour – it won’t look as “waitress-ish” as black and white together, but it works beautifully with other pastels (like I’m wearing). Navy is also a nice pairing with blush, and it’s a little softer than black (like blush is a little softer than white) – so there is a way for everyone to wear it!
Grace Hill has a gorgeous colour palette of soft greys and pinks, as well as navy black and white. Powder Pink features prominently in their collection and here are a few more of my favourite pieces in this soft and delicious tone.
SHOP THE LOOKS: (top left – right) Grace Hill cashmere blend scoop neck cardigan | Grace Hill pleat-back tunic | Grace Hill silk tank | (bottom left – right) Grace Hill cashmere blend sweater | Grace Hill lace pleat dress | Grace Hill spring camisole.
So there is a piece for everyone in this pretty Power Pink, and I can’t recommend the Grace Hill silk tee I’m wearing highly enough! So pretty and floaty, with great shaping through the back.
Is this colour up your alley? Give it a go! You never know.
Until Next Time
