With a few midyear parties showing up on our calendars we thought it was time for another guide on picking the perfect cocktail dress for work dos, parties and midwinter Christmas gatherings from our latest dresses.
The old favourite
This floral beauty will be a new favourite in your wardrobe. We love the flattering cut which slims and hugs in all the right places. With a subtle v-neck, modest length and cap sleeves we can’t see anything not to like. You will be the picture of elegance with enough colour in your outfit to keep from fading into the background. Our suggestion is to pair this dress with some heels that bring out one of the colours in the watercolour styled floral pattern such as a gorgeous dark purple or moss green. Accessorise with silver jewellery, a chunky necklace and a cream or nude bag. Wear your hair loose to complete the elegance.
The Glitter and Glimmer
Looking for a more flashy dress for the perfect night? We love this sequinned dress. This one will show off a little more skin than the old favourite and positively gleams under low light. To make this one really flatter you, we like to combine it with a skinny waist belt in black or another dark colour to accentuate your waist. To cover up a bit more, combine it with a dark cardigan that matches your belt and some high heels to make your legs shapely. Again silver jewellery is our favourite with this colour. Pulling it all together will make for a killer look.
The Slimmer
Sometimes it’s hard to find a flattering dress. You need a dress like this to show your gorgeous body in its best light. This dress accentuates your waist, slimming it and presenting it in its best light. Also the broader shoulder cut slims your waist further by creating an hourglass look. The long skirt is modest enough but makes your lower legs look slimmer with its cut and dark colour. Also, the wide sleeve holes give the impression of slimmer arms.
